About The Company

Aspens provide support to children, young people and adults with a range of disabilities, complex needs and those on the autism spectrum.

Following the merge of Autism Sussex and Pepenbury, Aspens is united in offering over 100 years of experience and expertise in South East England, including Kent, East Sussex, Brighton & Hove, West Sussex and London Borough of Bexley.

The Challenge

Following a period of consolidation, a new organisational structure was created to focus upon efficiency and sustainability in this next phase of development at Aspens.

Leading a team of 500 staff, the Operations Director would provide leadership to the operational team, to implement the aims and Objectives of the Organisation. The post holder would be responsible for the efficient delivery of high quality, personalised and cost-effective services to a range of client groups.

The appointment was business critical, therefor Aspens required an industry specialist partner to take the lead on the recruitment. Gilbert Meher were retained to provide the highest quality shortlist of candidates for the role.

The Solution

Following a detailed consultation with Aspens and our Head of Interim Management, we were able to identify the exact needs of our client, which ensured an efficient and successful recruitment drive was undertaken.
