The Royal College of Chiropractors, a research and education charity, was seeking a new Chief Executive Officer following the retirement of their long-serving CEO, who had led the organisation for over two decades.
The board of trustees sought a new leader to honour the organisation’s strong foundations while also advancing its impact and influence in the healthcare and academic space.
They needed a strategic and operationally-savvy CEO, with experience in membership
organisations, a deep understanding of healthcare systems, and the ability to confidently
implement and evolve strategy. The role required a leader capable of wearing many hats while ensuring continuity, growth, and a collaborative culture.
The campaign generated over 100 applications, of which 45 candidates were pre-screened. We shortlisted 10 individuals for trustee review, coordinated interviews with 6, and progressed 3 candidates to a final in-person stage involving strategic presentations and stakeholder meetings.
Our candidate Susie was selected as the preferred candidate following a thorough interview process. Her strong background in operations, membership management, and stakeholder engagement aligned closely with what the organisation was looking for. We supported the offer stage and onboarding to ensure a smooth transition.
Six weeks in, the new CEO is thriving in her new role and already making an impact.
She has embraced the variety and responsibility that comes with leading a specialist organisation, and has brought fresh energy and focus to the team, from supporting staff development and operation, to driving forward the organisation’s mission and strategic priorities.
We pride ourselves on not just meeting but exceeding our clients' expectations.
