Job Title: Deputy Manager (Nursing Home)

Location: Didcot, Oxford

Salary: £50,000 to £60,000 DOE

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced nursing professional to join a well-established nursing home in Didcot, Oxford, as a Deputy Manager.

Role and Responsibilities:The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Home Manager to ensure the efficient running of the nursing home. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leadership and Management: Assisting in the overall management of the nursing home, providing strong leadership and direction to the care team.
  • Clinical Excellence: Ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained through clinical leadership, conducting assessments, and overseeing care plans.
  • Compliance: Maintaining compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements, ensuring the home meets CQC standards.
  • Staff Development: Supporting the recruitment, training, and development of staff to cultivate a skilled and compassionate team.
  • Resident Care: Fostering a positive and inclusive environment where the needs and preferences of residents are met with dignity and respect.
  • Communication: Acting as a point of contact for residents, families, and healthcare professionals, maintaining open and effective communication.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • RGN/RMN Qualification: Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification is essential.
  • Experience: Proven experience in a similar managerial role within a nursing home or healthcare setting.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
