We are currently recruiting for an Interim Children's Home Manager for an EBD Home in North-East Wales
As the Interim Children's Home Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and development of all children in care. You will lead and motivate a dedicated team, working closely with external stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, including Ofsted standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of residential care staff, ensuring a high standard of care and support for children and young people.
- Oversee all aspects of the home's operations, including staffing, budgets, safeguarding, and performance management.
- Work in partnership with local authorities, health services, and other key stakeholders to provide holistic care and support.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and achieve outstanding outcomes for children in care.
- Develop and implement care plans, focusing on individual needs, personal development, and educational attainment.
- Manage staff training and development, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for both children and staff.
Key Requirements:- Proven experience in managing a children's home or similar residential care setting.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted requirements and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in leading teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A thorough understanding of safeguarding policies and child protection procedures.
- A passion for delivering high-quality care and making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.
- Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Health and Social Care, or equivalent (Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare is desirable).
