Job Title: Stores Engineer
Location: Northallerton

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

We are seeking a Stores Engineer to join our established team at a leading food manufacturing company based in Northallerton. If you have a strong background in engineering and are looking to develop your career in a fast-paced, rewarding environment, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance and inventory of all parts and equipment in the stores area.
  • Ensure timely availability of spare parts for the production team to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee the organization of stock, ensuring correct labeling, storage, and rotation of parts.
  • Assist with the ordering, receiving, and inspection of parts and materials.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to support maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records of stock levels and help identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a stores or inventory management role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Basic engineering knowledge to understand the parts and materials required for the production process.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and maintaining stock levels.
