Job Description:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, your role will be pivotal in maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and equipment to ensure they function at their peak. Your tasks will include:

  • Executing routine maintenance, fitting, inspections, and repairs on mechanical machinery.
  • Diagnosing and proficiently troubleshooting mechanical faults, swiftly implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborating seamlessly with other maintenance staff and cross-functional departments to achieve our maintenance goals.
  • Strictly adhering to safety protocols and ensuring unwavering compliance with pertinent regulations.
  • Rapidly responding to emergency maintenance requests to ensure operational continuity.
  • Harnessing your expertise in areas like Hydraulics, Pneumatics, gears, motors, drives, and sprockets.
Qualifications and Skills: Your success in this role hinges on your qualifications and skills, including:
  • A mechanical engineering Apprenticeship (NVQ Level 3 /HNC or City and Guilds Apprenticeship). 
  • A proven track record in maintenance and repair work, ideally within the FMCG or Chemical sector.
  • A profound understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting prowess.
  • An ability to flourish within a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a knack for creative problem-solving.
