Job Description:

Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for providing high-quality homecare services? We are delighted to be working closely with a family run, dynamic homecare business who are looking to appoint a Registered Manager local to the Borehamwood area.

Role: Registered Manager
Location: Borehamwood, Hertfordshire

Salary: £50k per annum + bonus


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch.
  • Allocate resources efficiently to deliver outstanding homecare.
  • Lead and support the staff team, ensuring clarity in duties and safe practice.
Duties and Specific Responsibilities:
  • Manage branch functionality and ensure safe service delivery in line with legislative requirements.
  • Stay updated with laws, best practices, and company policies through training and development.
  • Monitor health and safety in the workplace and in the field.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting systems.
  • Handle complaints and incidents effectively.
  • Conduct investigations to improve service quality.
  • Ensure client assessments and tailored care plans are completed and agreed upon.
  • Communicate excellently with clients, families, staff, and health professionals.
  • Secure and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Lead, manage, support, and mentor staff.
  • Work with HR on recruitment, induction, and training.
  • Ensure staff are up-to-date with best practices and adequately qualified.
  • Implement policies on absence, disciplinary, capability, and grievance matters.
  • Provide guidance and supervision for staff to perform their roles safely.
  • Conduct annual appraisals and monitor staff performance.
  • Manage emergency on-call issues effectively.
  • Promote and represent the business positively at external meetings.
  • Contribute to business growth, achieving sales targets, and delivering within budget.
  • Provide regular reports to the Managing Director and conduct monthly audits of client and carer files.
