Operations Manager – Children’s Residential Homes
 
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Operations Manager to provide strategic and operational oversight across three well-established children’s homes in and around Lancashire. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to make a meaningful impact on the quality of care provided to vulnerable children and young people.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that each home operates within budgetary guidelines, optimising resources without compromising on quality care.
  • Support with recruitment of Registered Home Managers, ensuring high-caliber professionals are selected to lead homes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to home managers, fostering leadership skills and enhancing the quality of care delivered.
  • Develop and implement internal quality assurance systems to ensure all homes meet and exceed regulatory standards.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with local authorities, external agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Support the CEO in commissioning services and business development
  • Ensure all homes adhere to Children’s Homes Regulations and other relevant statutory frameworks, maintaining high standards of safety and care.

Requirements:
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in management roles within children’s residential care settings, demonstrating the ability to lead, inspire, and manage effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted requirements.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a strategic mindset and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proven track record of improving service quality and meeting regulatory standards within residential care settings.
